    Carmel Meehan

    Gestalt Psychotherapist

    Carmel joined the team in September 2020. She is a graduate of the Irish Gestalt Centre and has run a private practice in the Republic of Ireland since 2011. She has extensive experience of working with clients across a wide of issues including relationships, trauma, depression, bereavement, recovery from addictions, and recovering from emotional / physical abuse. Gestalt is a humanistic and integrative therapy which takes a holistic view of the client. Carmel supports clients, through talk therapy, to develop an understanding of how they interact with their environment. This leads to a better understanding of themselves, giving opportunities to make more contact with their emotions, which leads to increased self-confidence and life satisfaction. Carmel is a Registered Member of the BACP. She holds an B.A. (Hons) degree in Psychology from Queen’s University Belfast.

    Angela Poulter

    Humanistic Psychotherapist

    Angela joined the team in June 2021. She has previously worked in private practice, adult education and charity settings, supporting people with experiences of low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, anger, stress and overwhelm, relationship issues and life changes. She brings curiosity, empathy and integrity to her practice, and can help you to grow your awareness of how you are just now, and how you might live with more purpose and satisfaction. Angela trained at Spectrum Therapy, a London-based centre for humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, and is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

    Michael Reilly

    Integrative Counsellor

    Michael joined the team in June 2021. He is an integrative counsellor with experience in working with bereavement and loss, anxiety, depression, abuse, stress, self-esteem, work related issues and resilience building. He has supported clients in various roles across the public and voluntary sector. Michael is passionate in the belief that therapy can develop the ability to see life’s challenges as new opportunities and help people make peace with their thought’s feelings and emotions. Exploring issues through therapy provides new perspectives to allow others to make more fulfilling life choices. Michael is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He holds a BSc Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University.

Should you arrange an appointment, your name, email address and telephone number will be entered into a secure account at 10to8.com, an electronic booking system used to manage appointments.  This information will be deleted once your case is closed.  I will never pass your name, telephone number or email address to others without your explicit request or consent.
This service complies with EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018 which came into law on 25 May 2018.

You have the right to see what information is held about you, and to request that this information be amended or deleted.  This includes contact details, any correspondence we may have exchanged, and therapy case notes.  I will act according to your request unless I am legally and ethically obliged to retain this information.  

During therapy, anonymised information about your case will be shared with a professional supervisor, as outlined in your counselling contract.  Information may be shared to protect you or others, or in the case of criminal activity, also outlined in your counselling contract.

I will only ever use your email and telephone number to contact you in relation to  accessing this service.  All electronic devices are password protected and paper files are kept under lock and key when not in use.
